Testing out the Dots

I tried out  my dot idea on a simple cartoon "My Little Pony". I found a coloring book and traced it. Then, I got to work mixing colors and finding household items to make dots with. I ended up using acrylic paint and the end of a cheap plastic paintbrush to make the dots. The dotting took a while. I'm not sure if I could get a whole series of dots done by June. I mean I could, but I want quality work especially for the show. I'm still trying to think. With some of the colors, I am afraid that the intensity of the colors would be diluted because of the white in the background. I don't think I will do the dots, but I do like this picture. Maybe I'll do a cartoon series of dots in my free time. We'll see...
